I wore the Brooks Ravenna for years and loved them. The Ravenna 9 was my favorite running shoe of all time. Kept buying them online until they finally disappeared. In retrospect, I should have just ponied up the dough and bought about a dozen pairs. They were that good.
So I was told the Brooks Launch 8 GTS was the "new Ravenna". I bought a pair back in the Spring and they seemed pretty good and I was generally happy with them. One oddity--when I tried them on, I had to go a half size smaller because the size I wore for the Ravenna was just a little too big in the Launch 8 GTS.
A couple months ago I started having some minor nagging issues, including achilles, runners knee, and a very mild Morton's neuroma kind of thing, all in the same leg/foot. I'm skeptical that the shoes would be the issue, and in my experience these issues will most likely resolve themselves over time. But nonetheless I am still starting to wonder...
So those of you who used to love the Ravenna, what have you replaced them with? Any suggestions? I may be up for trying something different.
