Only a selfish PIG would ask for money after being convicted twice.

Yes... how much did the brojos and their number 1 donate?
I haven't given anything yet but this thread disgusts me. Why are people so excited to see someoen not raise the money for a lawyer? If you are confident in the system, you should hope everyone gets to appeal everything in all cases so then people have more faith in the system.
All of the wrongful convictions in the criminal justice system have really rocked people's faith in the system.
My understanding was that she had already appealed and lost.
Also, I understood that the governing body outright rejected the claim as nonsense based on her numbers. Like, the number were so ridiculously high that she got the very rare, "we're 100% sure you absolutely cheated" sentence.

That’s a jerky thing to say :(
Why? It's true - she cheated by using a PED and then lied about it.
Link?
These jokes are offal!

You guys need to put your money where your mouths are. You all seem pretty confident of her innocence, so donate, show your support. Help her achieve the justice you obviously think she is being denied.
Why not donate that $10k you were going to give the guy from the Molly Seidel story if he came forward? Wejo could give the money he was willing to bet on Seidel not being with the leaders at halfway in the Olympic marathon

But everyone knows she's not a doper. We have it on rekrunner's authority, because CAS never said so. They punish people for doping violations but we can't call them dopers unless CAS does so.
rekrunner has affected you deeply
I agree. If Shalane and BTC actually thought she was innocent then they would put up too!
This whole thing is boaring--a porcine of things to come, though and I'll be teste if it leads to a rasher these incidents.
Sorry haha, I just like to ham it up, get in on the roast
I guess my three donations didn't help........what am I going to tell the kids when I tell them why their not getting any Christmas presents this year.

Never not baffled by the things Rojo finds "disgusting" on here.
Years and years of horrible comments about the appearance and bodies of women/girls, some even in high school? "Free speech"
Even back when Leah Falland called them out on it, they defended it.
But when everyone calls a cheater a cheater, and somehow that's "disgusting?" Let's review the evidence shall we?
A and B sample--positive.
nandrolone found in her system was more closely matched to synthetic nandrolone
it was NOT a trace amount.
Nandrolone helps middle distance athletes.
Shelby's progression has been suspect for years. From mid-pack to 11 US Titles, 2 AR and 4th at Worlds...quite suddenly, kept PRing and improving through 2020...
Let's review her story shall we?
She ordered a carne asada burrito, and mislead everyone in the press conference to believe she ordered pork
Even if she did eat pig offal burrito, nandrolone would not have gotten through the food chain. Plus she would have had to have eaten the equivalent of 3 burritos.
Let's rebuttal the doubters shall we?
"BTC" reputation--its nice they had a good one...until now. It doesn't mean an athlete or athletes couldn't be cheating. Plus Jager was listed in fancy bears so they weren't SPARKLY clean.
"I know Jerry"--he wasn't watching Shelby's every move.
"I know Shelby"--You know she works hard, and working hard could be a sign of doping since dope can allow her to recover faster.
"Why December?" Recover faster from an injury? Less drug testing? Could have been a part of another supplement or cocktail that she got screwed on?
You know what Rojo? A LOT of people maintain their innocence when they are clearly guilty. Tyler Hamilton, Floyd Landis, Lance Armstrong, etc etc etc. How much rope are we going to give them. If (god willing) Sifan gets popped, are you going to give her the benefit of the doubt until she's exhausted all appeals? Are you? If (god willing) Rupp gets popped?
Please for the love of all things holy, check. your. bias. Your posts don't sound like someone who just wants due process. Due process has been served. CAS makes her case so doubtful. You sound like someone who really likes Shelby the white midwestern girl with a lethal kick and great genetics, and you don't want her being a cheater to be true. Every reasonable sign points to one thing. Doping.
Finally, as for people celebrating her not getting the money she needs? I am too. You know why? Because when you're sitting on the side of reason, you see it for what it is. A liar and a grifter trying to maintain her image as it slowly slips away from her, and taking advantage of gullible people. I'm glad she's losing. I'm glad people are keeping their hard earned money.

Go off, king.
amazing post, 100% agree. rojo is trying to become the joe (b)rogan of the running world with his hot takes and firmly stated illogical and biased opinions.

The concern here and why the lawyers are going to work is in fact the Exogenous amount was a trace amount while the Endogenous was still within range and less than 24 hrs no Nandro was found. There's also a half dozen athletes that have gotten off with animal protein anabolics excuse with greater levels of anabolics. So if anything the governing body is failing to be complicit based on precedent.
I'm just interested in this transparency and governing body to be objective. Years ago they found a way to mask exogenous (synthetic) Testosterone/epo so WADA came up with BioPassport which discriminates you based on your multiple test averages.
One refreshing note I thought of, years ago(2010?) an Irishman made tremendous breakthroughs getting down to 27:30 10k and was going to be on Olympic/world roster he then was tested positive for EPO and just came out with Yes I did in fact take blood hormone I also trained really hard because of it unfortunately I was tested too close to my dosing so and unlike my competitors didn't get the timing right.
This may have been the most well written post I’ve ever read here. 👍
Nonsense, it's not even offensive or demeaning.
Her chops just couldn't cut it.
Post of the decade. Does this guy have a GoFundMe?? I'd donate.
bro, you can't be serious right now
She's a professional athlete, affiliated with Nike, a corporation which has access to obscene amounts of $$$$$$$$. Why doesn't she just ask them for the money? Heck, if she's so confident she's innocent and clean, couldn't she even just ask Nike for a loan...get her name cleared, then pay them back with some prize money or race winnings? If they believe she's innocent, wouldn't they jump at the chance to clear her name? Wouldn't that be a huge win and great publicity for them and their athlete? Why attempt to mislead the average, non-informed runner about her situation, making it look like she's the victim here?
I personally try to stick my head in the sand on this one because I do not want to believe other members of Jerry's group have doped. It would ruin my world view if Evan or Chris actually had doped. The idea that someone you followed and rooted for from HS through their career cheated is a hard one to swallow. I also did not want to believe that Lance doped at the time as I did derive some satisfaction with seeing a US endurance athlete beating the rest of the world.
