Their coach, Johnny Jones, was a former coach at LSU. He is a great recruiter and human being. He is also a friend of mine. Very happy for him and them!

I think they upset them before the end of the game, so technically, this is possible. Nowhere is it stated that a winless team "beat" Florida. They "outplayed" Florida who became sad, angry, and "upset" by them.

It's not possible. If they beat Florida, they are not winless.

Amazing. Florida has quality wins too! FSU and OSU.
And watch the highlights. Texas Southern looks athletic as hell with allehoopes, patient as hell with backdoor cuts. How in the hell were they winless?
I absolutely love this spelling of alley-oops. The Danish translation, perhaps?

Bad coaching.
Florida took 24 three pointers and missed pretty much all of them.
They were also 7 of 16 from the free throw line.
Basketball today is 99% ball handling and 1% shooting so you end up with teams full of guys with amazing ball skills who can't even shoot a little bit.
If you're a bad shooter to begin with if you have an off night you're in trouble.
According to you, since basketball is 1% shooting, why would it matter if you have an off night shooting?
It makes the same difference as it would if basketball was 100% shooting when both teams are the same way...
As someone that follows college basketball a decent amount, here’s what I know
Texas Southern is considered the best of the worst. They’ve made the tournament numerous times and dominate the SWAC. They are Well known in the college basketball world because they don’t play a single home game until conference play in late december/early july. The team always collects paychecks from school and travels to play big name schools. This year they’ve already played oregon, Uw, st marys, nc state, and most importantly a win at Florida. That’s why their record was 0-7 coming in but it is almost guaranteed by the NCAA tournament that Texas Southern would be above or near .500
