Please get your facts straight before claiming the 'national 5k' high school record has been broken!
Why didn't you measure it before proclaiming it??
Don't ask him about his facts, before you have yours. Unbelievable.

Course is wheeled and measured exactly 5km. The NCAA D1 South Regional was also held on this exact course. It's 5k
How was it measured, center of the course?
When hundreds of kids have lifetime PRs from 20 to a minute plus, including SIX sub 15:00s in the "Silver" race you aren't skeptical?
What wheeling and GPS data have you seen?
No one know WTF they're doing around here. Just post and proclaim fastest race ever run with no true facts. Then do nothing when people ask actual questions for facts....
Nfhs and ncaa officials assisted. It is measured on the shortest point.
When did NFHS and the NCAA begin employing surveyors?
I call B.S. NFHS doesn't even have language in place as to their recommended process like they do with a track measurement.
Nico was all out in both his 14:28s. The narrative that he would’ve run so close to German’s record and not break it so he can save energy is silly. He won by 25 seconds. He wanted to conserve energy, he could’ve run a lot slower.
Rule❒9 Cross Country
SECTION 1 COURSE
Measurement shall be along the shortest possible route a runner may take. The
course shall be clearly marked. This may be by a wide line marked with a mater-
ial which is not injurious to the eyes or skin, or by signposts with large directional
arrows wherever the course turns
Why does it matter how it was measured when there’s only a line on the course. No flags no fence no barriers. You can basically run inside where they measured the whole way round
It is a double lined course and mowed. Running outside of the lines is a DQ and in longer grass.

Lol.... you DQ the entire field.

Yep, no process as I have stated.
So how close to the inside boundary lines did your NFHS and NCAA people measure?

Is that a new NFHS rule, or an Alabama rule, or something that was stated for this meet?
A lot of the course had people standing on the lines, but you bring up a great point!
Does anyone have any photos of the starting line?
I found this from 2020, but was wondering about the startling line this year.
Because obviously you know how he felt way better than he does.
Winner of the silver race came in with a seed of 14:42 and finished in 14:50. He dropped to the silver from the gold to run with his team. Guys like Miles Brush and Walker St. John, both top commits (Kentucky and UNC) did not PR. This race was not a guaranteed PR, but the course, atmosphere, and competition provided the ideal setup for PRs. Most PRs were between 0-30 seconds. PRs of more than 30 seconds were relatively uncommon. Look at the results for yourself. Go the the Strava segment and look at the data from yesterday for yourself. I would pay you if you found data that says it’s short. I personally know multiple coaches who have wheeled the course. The course is used for NCAA south regionals. The RunningLane website gives a detailed explanation of how the course was measured. It is willfully ignorant to claim the course was short without finding evidence to back up that claim.
I have not seen this information. Can you share a link to it?
Top two guys at FL MW ran :39 and :46 quicker in Alabama than Wisconsin, top girl was :26 quicker!
I am surprised that they didn't drop more time. I have run both courses and would expect as much as a 1 minute drop.
