When did he run a hard 5K? At the top of his game he could probably run about 14:00.

Usually runners move up in distance as they age to prolong their careers. I wonder if Clayton is trying out slightly longer distances to see if he can be just as competitive as he gradually loses speed. However, a 5k in the 16s will not cut it at the Olympic level.
lmao watch the video
Ha, just watched the video. Now I believe Murphy may have a sub 16 in him. 🤣🤣🤣

As Clayton’s relative, I want to set the record straight. I make the best mac’n’cheese and we had our family Thanksgiving on Wednesday. The boy absolutely loves it, but he was eating way too much and likely had an upset stomach because of it. Probably could have run 10 seconds faster had he not eaten so much. He will regroup and learn from this and hopefully break 16 at the Tipp City Turkey Trot next year.
Bogus thread. Looked like they were jogging side by side and he edged Clayton right at the end.
Like two buddies jogging and then when you see the car/fence post/driveway start a little sprint
I also had that delicious mac’n’cheese, but I disagree. I pumped him full of PED’s before the race. That was peak performance.

Clayton could have kicked the last 400 in the low 50s had he wanted to.

Go away, SDSU Aztec. Yes, you are correct that Murphy jogged this thing, but we need not your inane commentary on the matter. I think I speak for everyone when I say this.
This the same guy that had the #1 time in the world heading into Tokyo only to come last in the final?
