The St. Leo course was brutal. Nothing like the FSU track. You're talking apples and oranges.
Take your ego out of it and understand that there are good coaches who can develop people all over the country regardless of the size or name of the school. It's running, not basketball or football, etc. There are many dang good runners in D2, D3, NAIA and NJCAA. The top 10 teams in D2 would win at least half of the D1 conferences outright. The term "D1" gets thrown around in college sports, but running is an equal opportunity sport. Speaking of which GVSU hammered Michigan State at their home meet and they got 16th in the D1 Champs. So what do you do with that? Pretend it didn't happen?
