How can fairness by ensured when it is not required to demonstrate fault, intent, negligence, or knowledge?
That has always been like that, from Baumann to Decker to Gatlin to Houlihan to Kiprop to Jeptoo, to name a few star dopers.
Once you test positive for a banned drug, you are in trouble - unless you have a good excuse. Sounds fair to me. Not sure why so many people make such a fuss about Houlihan with her preposterous authentic Mexican burrito "excuse".
It's like getting caught without ticket in a train - saying you lost your ticket won't stop them from fining you.
Or like getting caught leaving a store with unpaid merchandise - saying you don't know how it got into your pocket won't help you.
Or like getting caught with heroine in your pocket - saying you don't know how it got there won't help you.
Or like getting caught with nandro in your body - saying you don't know how it got there won't help you. Oh now I am back at the start....
Just imagine intent would have to be proven in each of these cases. No need to buy any ticket anymore etc.
