Petros is just getting started. all mine... tomorrow
Where did Snyder go? Bit surprised he's not at Temple anymore.
Also read further up that Alex Midgett is leaving FSU. Is this confirmed?
It’s shock to me that Illinois can find money to invest in track coaches. The athletic department is in the red. They recently replaced Lovie Smith and staff. Etc. But I like it!
I heard that new AD gave Petros the same assistant coach salary pool as he had at Georgia
The person who hired her and the person who fired her are two different people so..
They just announced they finished a campaign for $320M, mostly for capital improvements. That included $20M for improvements to the track facility. I know the school has endowments for professorships and I think the athletic department has some for coaches. Does the money from an endowment used to pay a coach not come out of the annual athletic budget? How much of a coach’s salary do those typically pay?
Love me some Bigs! Good on you, RMUTF!!
If it’s true..heard every coach on his staff will be making 100k a least
Looks like Haveman is the only being retained and she just signed a new deal. Hope Petros spends his money wisely.
Boston University - Assistant
Montreat has their Head TF coach...
Charleston Southern has their Asst Distance Coach
I would say the head coach pay is a lot higher on average. I am in a mid major conference and there isn't a head coach in this conference that makes under $70K. At least half of us over 100K.
The AD's are different, but the associate AD that headed up the search committee and ultimately made the final call on the hire is still there.
Yes that got confirmed by her the same time the job posting went up.
