VCU loses two distance coaches of color in less than a year. Maybe it’s time to stop the “diversity” hires and go after the most qualified candidate.

Diversity hire? What is a diversity hire?
Only folks complaining are white males, who literally have held 95% of all college coaching jobs in history, but don't proportionately represent the teams they coach or the population at all.
So tired of white boys complaining that they aren't in charge of everything.

Interesting take. What is the Office of Diversity/Inclusion that have popped up in Schools and companies around the country?
I'm not disagreeing with more minorities in coaching or positions of leadership. I'm simply asking a question with a provided point in response to yours.

Oh my god guys how many times are you going to spark the same conversation again? Make a new thread or stop crying.
Maybe this is a sign of how bad an environment it is at VCU for people of color and how the organization needs to change top to bottom

This is a wild statement considering the head coach is a minority.

SMH.....if it weren't for people in place and the creation of diversity and inclusion officers, whites would continue like they have done for centuries and exclude people of color and women, giving preferential treatment to white men. It wasn't that long ago that it was policy at hundreds of universities that blacks and other minorities were banned from attending and working at these schools.

I am a black man who has been passed up on jobs for them to hire a female coach, that is discrimination. I was way more qualified than the women no offense to her I do not blame her I blame the system in place. I agree that their needs to be more inclusion, but why can’t we do this while also hiring the most qualified? If you’re gonna hire a minority or female etc etc why not find the best out of the applicants? That isn’t being done they’re just checking the box to cover footballs A$$ and I don’t think that’s fair.
I’ve seen plenty of people suck it up for a check.

Then you’ve clearly never met the VCU head coach.

The distance coach left for his alma mater. Use this information as you please.
Petros is asking for a friend
Has Washington State posted for the distance assistant's position left by CharLee Linton when she moved to Utah? Race to get your resume in to Wayne Phipps starting in 3, 2, 1...

Yes, it was a few days ago… if I recall it’s posted as women’s head xc or something to that effect.
