2 or 3 hits of weed is significantly healthier than 2 or 3 beers. maybe try every other night or just a few nights a week tho, more for dependency reasons. weed is a wonderful thing if used right but it can still cause some unpleasant withdrawal issues after long time daily use.
Smoking anything, weed, cigarettes, vaping, dabbing, or whatever, is going to have a negative impact on your running if you’re doing it on a daily or near daily basis.
I like to get high but it’s a rare occasion when I take a drag on a bong or hit the bowl. If you want to get high on a more regular basis and don’t want to affect our lungs, edibles are the better option.
I am a light smoker maybe share 2 or 3 joints with the girlfriend in the evenings. I stop smoking when I started my marathon taper.
It made a small difference in that often I would cough up a little phlegm during workouts. I did notice that the cough went away really quickly like after 3 or 4 days.

A little sativa before or after a run is amazing.
I've always enjoyed smoking cannabis but after getting covid and having a rough time with my respiratory system I switched to edibles.

One or two hits of the THC vape for me 5 days a week about an hour before bed. I may switch to 5mg edibles, but I don’t like the feel as much.
I’ve been doing this for a year, and my running has improved. I cut out all alcohol though so I switched one vice to a lesser one.
Microdose cannabis with a onnie or low dose edible before a run and thank me later. Small doses are known to be vasodilator as well - research supported.
It’s probably not helping you in anyway but I think running while stoned is one of life’s great pleasures.
