Yes it is an existential threat but it is not the "most" existential threat facing mankind.
The greatest threat is obviously the orca. This intelligent creature has had enough and its starting to lead and teach other creatures of the ocean to attack mankind. This highly intelligent, communicative killing machine will take control of our oceans, not only destroy ships and boats but anything that we have in the ocean such communication cables.
No, I don't believe so. There are other issues that are more pressing.
The earth will outlast the entirety of us either way.
There is no other issue that has the spatial and temporal range of climate change. It affects everything, you can't escape it and the consequences last for literal lifetimes.
Some posters aren't really using the word "existential" correctly. It means that humanity would be wiped out or forced back into a less civilized condition. It doesn't mean "the economy will get bad for a while."
If that is the case, then nuclear war, collapse of the food supply, and climate change are really the only three things that fit that definition. So yes, it is a threat.
How much of a threat is sort of immaterial. Even a 5% chance of that scenario should freak people out.
The more likely scenario is that the equatorial countries will become increasingly dry and hot and those populations will be forced to the global north. That would ruin our way of life due to poverty, over-crowding, and political/social upheaval.

Climate is 99% the Sun and our variable proximity to it.
The only real things we have to worry about are:
1. Nuclear war
2. Super volcano
3. Meteor / asteroid
4. One of Dr. Evil’s, er Fauci’s, really deadly gain of function plagues “leaking” from a lab somewhere.

I don't deny that it is an issue. Of course it could affect everything but so can every existential threat. However, in terms of eliminating EVERY single human on the planet, I personally believe that there are greater threats. I feel that some humans, in some locations (not necessarily above earth) with the right technology could survive even a moderate to fairly severe climate change, and would not necessarily say the same for other scenarios. Although it wouldn't be life as we know it (at all). That's just my opinion!
