Pure emotion and excitement. Good to see personality in our sport.
If this were Heps, some parent would’ve had them DQ’d in no time.
Good for the coach as well. They cleaned house
Yep personality and celebration is a good thing. The only people getting mad are the ones who've never won. I thought this thread was about the Champagne Papi, Drake, popping bottles.
Adam Fogg is a great character for the sport!!!
Delightful
IDK almost seemed planned, there is a reason football had to implement taunting and celebration rules. Eventually things become a little over the top.
Dem boys are FIT. Amazing to be able to enjoy a conference title like that. Train Hard, Win Easy.
Who cares if it was planned...what was over the top about it? No other team was even in sight so it couldn't be taunting lol...just a couple guys who's hard work paid off...what a stick in the mud.
Big fan of Fogg Dogg and the Drake Program well deserved Jay is doing great things with that program.
Love the celebration!
I can’t believe I’m the first to say I find this downright douchey, and living half a mile from Drake, I would definitely prefer to be cheering for them. Maybe Basten’s little whirlybird move was “genuine,” but it looked awkward and ridiculous, and Fogg answering by running backward for a few strides was clearly shameless showboating.
Like, if you’re Adam Fogg, a 22 year old from Australia who transferred to a mid-major NCAA team at 20 after running 3:40 for 1500, and you’re obviously the class of the conference, would you really feel cool running backward to prove how easily you dominated the field? I think it’s unsportsmanlike gloating, and will seem fairly stupid if and when he faces competition his own size later this fall.

John, just say you’re a slow moran next time, it’ll take less words to type!

I agree 100%. Totally classless.
The MVC is a joke of a conference. Drake should dominate every year because they have BY FAR the most resources. They likely have double of the rest of the league on the men's side. Bradley and Loyola don't even have tracks and Drake has one of the best tracks in the nation.
Resources? They are underfunded in track. Last I heard. they had 8 scholarships. Many schools in the MVC have more.

I don’t know anything about this team or the runners, but if the guy really is vastly superior to everyone else then it is pretty pathetic to be celebrating. Be like if Jakob I. showed up to NCAAs and crushed the field by over a minute and ran backwards the last 200 meters dancing and twirling celebrating.
Based on the celebrating, it seems like both guys are nobody’s excited to get their first win. And if that’s the case then I’m ok with the celebrating.
Imagine people mad at this.

They are vastly superior to everyone else, so the celebration was pathetic. They are both sub 3:40 in the 1500. Both All-American in the 1500 last outdoors. Fogg is sub 14 in the 5k.
The first non-Drake athlete has a 5k PR of 14:51. The 2nd non-Drake has a 5k of 14:39. The 3rd non-Drake has also run 14:39. It's like a D1 team celebrating for beating Division 3 teams.
I came
Bradley had two 29:50 guys in the spring. Hard to believe your numbers.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
