No one will touch GV Walsh gonna surprise some people tho.
Rumor has is Steven Kapes is returning to Ashland and is in shape to take down Isaac Harding
Should be a close team battle among a couple of teams.
GV will undoubtably take the win
The Midwest has the potential to send 7 teams with Lewis, Walsh, usi, uis, MTU, and Wayne all very strong contenders for nationals bids
It’s hard to say who will take that last auto bid because it is a toss up between Lewis, Walsh, USI, UIS, MTU, and Wayne.
As far as prediction goes
1.GV
2. Walsh
3. Lewis
4. MTU
5. UIS
6. USI
7. Wayne
Individuals
1. Harding
2. Stimpfel
3. chada
4. Jones
5. Fisher
6. Farmer
7. Macuiba
8. Sayen
9. Winders
10. Hufnagel
I think if this this happens the Midwest sends 7 teams but UIS and MTU have the potential to be blocker teams. It’s interesting for sure the Midwest hasn’t been this strong in a while.
Both usi and Wayne have a history of not performing well in the championship season and usi is almost always over ranked in the polls.
MTU is recent past has performed better in championship season than regular season
Walsh is always solid
UIS has three very solid runners but the 4-5 is pretty far behind which could hurt them in a bigger race.
1. GV
2. Lewis
3. Walsh (slight favor over 4,5,6)
4 5 6? MTU, USI, UIS
7. Wayne
8. SVSU
I think this race is going to be very hard to predict due to the closeness of the GLVC meet and MTU stepping up at GLIAC. Wayne unfortunately lost their #3 to health issues. They are still in the running, but I think it's safe to put the other teams ahead as of now. USI and UIS have to make up some ground in their 4/5 to come as close to Lewis as they did at GLVC. MTU is in a similar spot as those two teams. Walsh has a strong 5 and Lewis does as well.
I honestly can't see UIS or MTU being a huge blocker. All I can see is the West getting an additional bid and Embry Riddle sliding their way into nats. Even if they "block" I can't see what teams from other regions will get in instead.
I think that most likely scenario is as follows:
GV
Lewis (I think they are clearly #2)
UIS (Assuming Jones runs fine)
USI
Walsh
MTU
Wayne
- gap -
SVSU
IF IF IF his happens, Midwest possibly sends 7 teams. The only thing hurting them is MTU losing to Western Wash of the West. Even if Western Wash takes 4th, they'll get an at large and it won't hurt the Midwest that much. Midwest owns the rest of the West outside of the 2 teams that competed at pre nats. If Biola or San Marcos somehow take 4th in the West regional they would be big blocker for the West.
AT LARGE
West - 1 teams
South Central - 3 teams (after West Texas they're weaker than usual)
Atlantic - 0 teams
Central - 1 teams
East - 0 teams (lmaooo)
Midwest - 3 teams
South - 1 teams (0 if Embry Riddle takes top 3, or UIS runs inside top 3)
Still leaves one bid. Who knows where it will go. Perhaps Midwest, West, or Central.
West Texas had some mishaps early on, but not weaker than usual. This is actually the strongest 1-7 team they have had in recent history. If they come in healthy this weekend, some eyes will be opened.
West Texas may be fit but they have hardly accrued points this season. It looks unlikely that they'll get in.
I would put Hunter Moore of Walsh in somewhere in there around places 6 to 10.
is it just me or is this live results page completely crap, I got about half the runners for some splits, no times just order of runners. 45 minutes after the 6k started we still don't have our "live" results. I would expect this from a no name meet but not a NCAA regional.

Well now that regionals is over, we can see now what teams might go in. 1-5 make it, I’m also pretty sure cederville and wayne make it. Feel bad for Illinois spring field, heard there second guy got hurt during the race. That is my prediction. West Texas doesn’t make it because they don’t finish races.
Can we take a second to realize how washed SV is on the men’s side
On god bro they ass
