Is this the full field? It seems a bit small compared to last year, I thought there would be a bigger field even considering the many marathons this autumn.

Is it just the 8 men and 9 women, or vice versa they named weeks ago or am i missing a link?
And the Americans have to sense in advance they were supposed to run the American WMMs.

No they add people as it gets closer to the race, Probably will be Super Deep and people who are thought to be Elite wont even be mentioned, relax, more people will be added and it will be another great, Fast and Deep Marathon in December
It's already a very good field. I would say if conditions are good, it should be a lot like last year with a winning time of 2:02-2:03 and 4 guys under 2:05. Kamworor v Cherono is a pretty intriguing battle if both are in shape.

ok, thanks
Last year around this date, I had enough names to start a 37 day profile thread and put in the late additions about 5 days later. 74 mini bios, nearly completed it. I thought then that we could get ten min sub 2.24.30. Right on the money. Cannot possibly be that deep again?

That should say, “ten women sub 2.24.30”. It was a big ask.
An elites been missed out here! I mean I am only a 2.27 34yo male marathoner aiming at 2.23 but I've self identified as elite 🤣
Is anyone else (sub elite let's runner) doing it?
Is it as flat as everyone says, most my targetted improvement is off just running a better course in a pack.

Hoping tonight, our time, is when a more full list will be named.

Should have said 10 ladies sub that time. This year already we have 45 different women under that time. Last year we finished with 42. Still a couple more in abu dhabi to come plus 7-12 in valencia. Getting back to pre-covid: 75 in 2019.

Haven't run Valencia, but people I know that have, say that it's super fast and flat. Everyone gets a PR there. Good luck!

I doubt any American male would even have their travel covered let alone an appearance pay.
