You would think someone who is 'very very smart' that 'sees right through Biden' would realize it is Obama and his people running the Biden White House. But, I guess not, huh.

I listen to one of his podcasts every couple of weeks if there is someone I like he's interviewing. He is great at that type of interview and whether you like him or not he is completely transparent. You also get enough time with the guests where you can really figure out who is actually a real person, who does/doesn't know what they're talking about, and it's interesting seeing Joe actually learn from these people.

If you watch an Alex Jones episode you know what you're getting, and it probably will be entertaining, but pretty stupid. If you watch a Bret Weinstein episode you'll get a completely different experience.

i agree with this.

i think most people who hate joe rogan don't really listen to him or have a view of him of him they want to be true so they hate him.

i enjoy his podcasts because he is a great interviewer. i dont think of him as a thought leader AT ALL. neither do anyone else i know that likes him.

the last two people ive listened to on his podcast are The Undertaker and some doctor that is an expert on anti-aging.

The Undertaker was my favorite when I was a kid and Ive always been a curious about anti-aging. both were very entertaining and funny. nothing more than that.

btw, i think his standup is awful.

Mmm, jumping to conclusions about me based on a couple of posts, I see. People who took my initial post to heart got knee-jerk offended and went off the rails. People are often offended when there is some truth to what is said. There is no denying that the demographics I posted as Rogan Bros has many stereotypes but also holds truth. It is what it is.

1. Timing. He was very early on the podcast scene. He rode the rising tide early on, beating equal or more capable candidates to the punch.

2. Disruptive innovation. He offers a product nobody else offered at the time, although many have caught on. People are so sick of rapid fire prebaked interviews on "traditional" media channels. People are sick of the dogma and the disingenuous bickering. His interviews with academics/authors are incredible. You really get to the heart of issues instead of flying through talking points.

Joe got in on the ground floor of podcasts, has some incredible guests on which a lot of people can learn from and is willing to ask the dumb questions most people have when it comes to complicated subjects. Its bizarre to see people here criticise the show as one for meatheads or idiots when he literally has some of the most intelligent people in the World on his shows dropping knowledge to the masses and informing and educating people.

He also doesn't have agendas like mainstream media does when they get on these guests and isn't looking for soundbites or manipulatiated quotes which is rare in todays media. I find it bizarre that the self-titled "Intellectuals" here have an issue with a show that caters to educating the average person who might not have any idea what is happening when two experts debate specialist topics with eachother. I will admit that the nitty gritty can be watered down which is obvious to me when he has a guest on who specialises in something I have a broad knowledge in but you have to realise that...

A) It's an entertainment show

B)it's targeted to the average non-expert(and there's nothing wrong with informing the average person in a chewable way). The World does not rotate around your very very niche area of interest and identity politics.

America is so brainwashed by mainstream media that any show that has guests on that hold alternative views immediately gets pigeonholed into a stooge for certain causes. Mainly because the mainstream media does nothing but interview experts with beliefs that align with theirs so the assumption is every show is the same. It reminds me of when Andrew Neil interviewed Ben Shapiro and Shapiro labelling him as leftist when Neil is a self titled far rightist just because Andrew Neil played devils advocate when interviewing him.

I haven't heard Rogan in probably two years. I was never a huge fan, but I don't even know where to look any more.

And FWIW, the first podcast I ever witnessed was live. It was called Colt Radio, and this was in the summer of 2000. They were at a trade event that didn't go over too well. One or two of the big players walked in, left piles of T-shirts, and walked out. The Colt Radio guys were talking away, and I was trying to figure out where I'd hear this. It was 2000, what would you have done?

I think those two matter but the biggest reason people like Rogan and the same can be said of Brand is they refuse to adhere to the narrative they don't agree with. They are lifelong lefties who have refused to buy into the same mindwarp that has infected leftist media. How many other outlets can get you get a civil discussion with Ben Shapiro one day and Bernie Sanders the next? People trust Joe because he is not going to go along with something just because you or anyone else thinks he should. It's why the mainstream Media hate Rogan because people trust him and as there has been increasing distrust in MSM people like Rogan have caused them to lose their grip on the narrative. This could be seen by general hysteria that came from CNN after the whole Ivermectin blow up and Gupta appearing on the show.

What I find highly amusing about this thread is that people keep throwing the word 'narrative' around like it means something important. Do you know what Joe Rogans narrative is? Making money. End of story. I don't know why people are so confused about podcasters and youtubers, they are in it for the same reasons the big bad 'narrative' driven MSM are, MONEY.

That said. Rogan has some good interviews from time to time. I am not bashing him. But just find it really funny how much faith and trust people have in these folks while saying things like 'they go against the narrative' LOL yes, because it is making him RICH. Idiots.
