+1 Stick with the Beer Mile. If you aren't top 5 in the other minor events like the 800/1500 then you are just a poser.

Did they drop the requirement where you have to turn the empty over your head or have verified that you didn't leave like 2oz of beer in there?
They no longer turn the bottles over their heads. This has been the standard since the first Beer Mile World Classic. Competitors can have up to 4 ounces leftover, in total, from their 4 beers. The official's table has a four-ounce cup designated for each competitor. Several runners were DQ'd for being over this limit. That is documented in the results. Corey Bellemore's WR record at the 2018 World Classic was overturned for being .5 ounces over the limit.
As for turning the bottle/can over your head. That is no longer a thing in world competition.
In fact, turning your bottle face down can result in a DQ, as it affects the spillage amount that is measured. One runner was DQ'd for this infraction in Manchester.
Cool, thanks for clarifying. It's not clear on the video there are individuals ensuring each users bottles are being handled. Some look like they're just being tossed haphazardly, which, I gotta think will affect spillage.
It's a lot harder than it looks!
4:28.1 for the beer mile.
The winner is a sub four minute miler and a 3:39 1500m runner (without beer)
lol. Does that mean he'll run a 3:43 - 56 = 2:47 mile since Jakob only ran 3:43 / 5:22?
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
