Its very similar to what I was doing in my middle distance group when I trained with them. Our longest run was 50 minutes. We didn't really do mile reps. A couple of athletes from the group made the Olympics in the 1500m and the 800m. They might have done longer reps after they left the group before the Olympics or not, I don't know, but this is the sort of training they were doing 2 years prior certainly.
