Mark Coogan (Dartmouth; coached Abby D'Agonstino/Cooper and consulted Ben True among other things) said on record that he doesn't believe in peaking so if you did some digging on his training philosophies you might get some good insights.
If you are running less than 80mpw, Peaking is mostly a mental process rather than a physical one IMO
