Factually speaking, distance is more international now than back in the 80s when Kenyans and Ethiopians were just starting out and weren’t getting representation commensurate to their talent.

Yep, they were legitimately recorded on camera running these fast times. They are not known to failed any drug testing protocol, protocols that are more or less uniformly enforced by WADA (to the extent practical with sovereign rights). Innocent until proven guilty with a failed test is the name of the game and has been for a very long time.
