I love working out in my nike LT4 flats, but they cause too much DOMS in my calves the day after, unlike my dragonfly spikes.
Has anyone had success with putting a heel pad in flats to avoid calf soreness? If so, what product did you use?
Thanks

Just work a lower drop trainer into the mix to help acclimate. I do ez runs in the NB beacon (6mm) and don’t notice much if any calf soreness from lower drop flats.
I actually already do run mileage in low drop stuff like kinvara. It’s only the quicker stuff in LT4 that gets me sore.
That’s the most striking thing about the dragonfly to me—the lack of calf soreness.
Maybe the upcoming streakfly will be the road equivalent.
In any case, I’m going to experiment with a heel pad, just don’t want to reinvent the wheel if someone knows a good product
Careful, you can beat up your feet by adding extra stuff to the inside of your shoes un-uniformly. Maybe try running easy a bit in the LT4’s. I did a couple easy runs in mine before speed work in anticipation of stretching things out a little bit. Good luck.
Sore calves are weak calves.
I’d suggest some eccentric heel drops rather than heel lifts in your shoes.
