No sign of Frank Lara so if anyone has an update on him please post here thank you. The top Spaniards are on 60 minute pace, Perez, Mayo etc....German runner also there (sorry I forget his name but he’s famous too) ....

On the app the tracking has him .2 miles behind the leaders but it's hard to know what it means. It tells me his projected finish time is 3:36, as is Kipruto
Looks like there are no live splits. I've seen a lot of Gidey tucked in with a chase pack of men but less of Y^2.
These are the pace groups FYI, both women have well deserved "private" pacers:
According to the app the leaders split a 13:44 5k and (if I'm reading it right) are averaging 2:45 km pace.

The spanish TV feed has been much smoother for me:
https://www.apuntmedia.es/directe/directe-tv_136_1392524.htmlLara is in 11th and averaging 2:51 km and split 14:11 through 5k if the app is correct.

Thank you, Senor Burke...Perez has classic marathon build, Mayo more of a track runner and heavier - who will take Spain #1 ?

So that's exactly 58' for the HM

To keep that up they need 27'30" for 10k

27'35" so they're slowing down a bit
Leaders through 10 in 27:34, 2:46 avg pace
Lara through 10k in 28:29 and 2:51 pace. 2:50 pace is 60:00
Women speed up and hit 10km at 29:45! Either they are going to blow up or it will be a huge world record

On the Spanish TV broadcast one of the broadcasters is speaking classic Spanish and the other guy is speaking Valenciano which is a dialect of Spanish, bizarre. If you understand and speak Spanish you can understand and get most of the Valenciano dialect but it is still strange to hear them speaking in slightly different formats.

Yep, 62'45" for HM at this pace
Can't see Gidey in the App but she's with Yehualaw
Did Gidey drop 3-4 of the men pacing her? Only 2 left.
41'16 for 15k
So 58 for HM, 28" behind, the English commentator is completely lost saying they're just outside WR
These races are hot. Men on 58:00 pace at 15K, split 41:16 for Rhonex Kipruto with a pack of 7: Kennedy Kimutai, Daniel Mateiko, Mathew Kimeli, Abel Kipchumba, Muktar Edris, and Pilemon Kiplimo.
Carlos Mayo and Daoud, both Spanish, dropped Chiqui Perez and passed the 10 km point right around 29:00 pointing to a time right around the 60:00-60:30 projected finishing time. Mayo looks so strong.
