I'm slow now. I'm just getting over a long period of injury and I want to be fast again because I'm a failure at every relationship and everything I do I'm ready to reassert my mother Fu***** dominance in running again and forget about trying to make people happy and waste my time with stupid stuff. Running is my passion but I let other things distract me, my work ethic is strong but I think it's time to ask for training advice. I'm at a measly 30 miles per week and I'm training to get as close to a 4-minute mile as possible. I'm almost 20 so I've got to get going right now to reach this goal. I haven't run a mile time trial in years but my last run I averaged 6:36 pace for 5.5 miles and my average hr was 161. I have a tendency to be a workaholic and I never rest when I want to reach a goal which is why I got injured in the first place. How do I build up, when do I incorporate speed and what kind of strength training should I do? It doesn't matter how hard it is I would like to hear it. Thanks!
