Just ran my first marathon yesterday in 3:25. This was based off of an average of 30 mpw and a peak of 43 miles. 5-6 days of running per week with one long run and two track/interval/ tempo workouts. Started training in July with a base of about 15- 20 mpw previously. I followed the "Nike Marathon Plan" for no reason specifically- just wanted a plan. Now that I'm done, how do I improve my time for Boston in April? (I' m a 36F so this should get me into Boston unless they change the QT by a lot). If I increase my mileage, will I likely improve my time? Not sure if any of this matters but my 5k time is 19:58, my one and only half time is 1:37 (I Know I could do better than that though). I've been a runner since high school, but this if my first time running longer distances.
