The majority of people can't just "choose" to lose weight, and their attempts to loose weight perpetuate a cycle of weight gain. These people will have better health outcomes if they focus on the things they can control and accept the things they can't.
They dont need ‘medical intervention.’ Eat less/healthier, exercise more. Works for pretty much everyone.
