I so hope RunningLane sticks around and replaces Eastbay and NXN. Both of them refused to change or become one meet over the past decade.
RunningLane makes the regular season matter. Teams and individuals have to build their resumes throughout the season to earn their spots in the championship race.
So local and state meets don’t already matter independent of any national exhibition long after their training peaks and kids earn their spot in a national meet without running against the kids they are compared against? Got it.
Having a great state meet can get you to RunningLane. What does a great state meet do for you now??? Leaves you tired and possibly past your peak at NXN Regionals.
Under the current format many top teams look past their state meet to be ready for NXN Regionals.
