This a terribly embarrassing development for Nike. Once it's a news item in L.A. , the story automatically becomes an opening web page story on every search engine and news website in the world. Nike better settle Out of Court tomorrow. Ugly!

Must be a slow news day in LA to have a story of a girl from New York suing a man from Oregon.

On the contrary this could be a terribly embarrassing development for Cain
Yes. The story goes around. Here for example foxnews and cnn: https://www.foxnews.com/sports/runner-sues-ex-coach-nike-for-millions-over-alleged-abuse
https://www.cnn.com/2021/10/13/sport/mary-cain-sues-alberto-salazar-nike/index.htmlShe's suing Nike, a multi-billion dollar company, so yeah, it's a big story.
The psychotic, abusive coach currently banned for cheating, that's just an interesting twist.
The real story here is Nike knew what was happening and encouraged it to continue.
They sponsored the doping and the abuse.
Abuse of women is basically the Nike business model.
Sweatshops are a slippery slope.
The Nobel Prize for physics is a given next year - her lawyer is finally gonna prove that a runners weight doesn't impact its speed, and that coaches and magazines have been wrong, even criminally wrong, all these year trying to teach people those pesky patriarchally laws of nature.
In related news: The WC (World Championsships) in Oregon next year will be renamned Woke Championsships and that's what WC will mean from then on - you heard it here first!
Looks like some posters her don't read any news. They just troll threads pretending they know everything. Even Fox News and Fox Sports are carrying the story..

Missed seeing your post before I posted. The (Nike) trolls immediately trying to turn this into a L.A. only story. Whack them whenever they try that tired tactic to discredit a story. The trolls are always wrong.
Question: How many trolls does Nike have on the payroll attacking sites like LRC all day long?
It was on the morning (radio) news here in Sweden.

While Salazar undoubtedly was a jerk and far from perfect, the media is going to be totally one sided on this and turn it into another "me too" story. It will be like the finest crack cocaine for the SJWs.
Salazar is pretty well known. Not only for coaching USA athletes, but he actually coached that British distance runner to several Olympic gold medals.

All of those articles were factual and contained quotes. What makes you think that the coverage will become one-sided? Meanwhile, you've chosen a side.
The real abuse is an athlete who collected hundreds of thousands and could not even keep her ideal weight to run. Then she leaves running but contacts Salazar to make a comeback. Then, goes on tv with abuse accusations. Time for Al Sal and Phil Knight to go on the offense and sue Cain. She is the one who is abusing.

Yes the articles contain quotes and references to the lawsuit and makes mention of Salazar's denial. I have no issue with the articles. But I've seen enough of today's modern media and social media blitz to see where this will be headed. Give it a few days...
And I haven't fully chosen a side by the way, but I do think an alternate viewpoint will be needed.

Usually only a handful. But then they unleash either dozens of trolls or the handful goes into overtime with several handles each when bad news comes out (such as now, or when Salazar was banned by AAA, or by SafeSport, or Shelburrito by CAS etc.).
Mary and Molly get attacked now too, just like Kara and Steve.

OK. I've seen a lot of "Salazar might be jerk, but..." followed by an insult to Cain's character so my apologies for assuming you have the same thought process.
Whether there are articles or not, I doubt there will be all that much interest in the case. It's a big deal to us but probably not so much to the general public. I also believe that most people aren't sheep and will understand that, like most civil suits, there are 2 sides to the story
Based on Salazar's attack on Gabe Grunwald and his reckless bending of the rules that got him banned from coaching, I find Cain's accusations to be believable, but maybe the defense can present witnesses that put him in a more favorable light and Cain in a bad one. The jury will have to figure it out
