Women are brutal to other women, generally. Pretty much every woman I've ever known has "friends" who are women that no self respecting man would ever associate with.
Too much work for retired women runners. They can just post in instagram for a good salary or get jobs in television. So there really is no point to do hard work

Noone likes to work hard. I said they might habe better options than becoming a coach
jfc, another LRC thread that reeks of sexism.
Nothing new to see here, folks.

Is this not true ? Forget Running , Top 75 in the world on LPGA have men, as coaches/instructors . Nearly the same in WTA , with the exceptions of women player coaches having personal relationship with the women tennis player .

I'm talking about these comments, specifically:

Politically incorrect but real reason: a woman coach couldn't be tough enough to push the athletes. No woman coach would do what Alsal did, they would rather field Mary donuts and make excuses.

If you really believe this, you clearly haven’t spent time around enough women.

I was paraphrasing/mirroring the first guy to hopefully communicate to him how sexist (and stupid and wrong) his post was.
Obviously former pros have no problem working hard.
Obviously there isn't a horde of ex-runner IG models making bank.
Obviously there isn't a horde of them on TV either, and the only ones on TV are running announcers.
Most women aren't natural leaders. A coach is a leader, and leadership is typically a masculine role. Supportive roles are typically feminine. Doesn't mean there aren't masculine, natural born females and more feminine, supportive men. I've seen plenty of examples.
I'm sure there will be hordes of those who oppose this viewpoint and will spew forth some conspiracy theory about "the patriarchy" barring women from all leadership roles in society.

Your sarcasm was well stated.... This thread does seem sexist. The OP cites a few facts and figures that he gives as evidence of the inferior nature of women. ...OP, why don't you throw out some more factoids that prove the black race is sub-standard?

Most people are not natural leaders.
This has nothing to do with gender and everything to do with innate personality traits + socialization.
This is the risk for having women's coach . cat fight 😺

Why don't you explain why elite group coaching is nearly 100% Men ? Same as Women's Golf, Women's Tennis , majority of Nation Women's soccer teams worldwide .

That’s true. I don’t recall reading of any women using coaching tactics like Alsal. Specifically, no decades long drug abuse speculation, no shipping athletes illegal substances inside hollowed out books, no stockpiles of syringes and testosterone, no using their own family members as test subjects (literally), and finally…. No lifetime bans for multiple ethics violations.
