Tuohy was beaten by a JC transfer who was 6th at JC Nats last year, a d2 transfer with a 1620 5k track pr who was 17th at d2 nats, and a girl what was 50th at Nats last year.... and a freshman.
Chelengat ran easy with her teamate, which presumably means Alabama could be really good if they have everyone back with this transfer and anyone else they got because they had three top Runners last year
They're still a really good team but not the way some people are making out
I'm not sure what you have against NC state. People change from year to year. But if you insist they don't, at ND the top 5 for NC State all beat Gitahi of Alabama who was 36th in March (30th in team scoring - ahead of BYU's 5th). Alison Pray of S Utah ran right with Orton at FSU, way ahead of the rest of BYU including Frentheway who was top 20 in March and NC State had her surrounded at ND. I still think if Camp, who finished way back at FSU, returns to her March form both teams are much stronger than anyone else, and will have a close contest in November.
But maybe you think NC State peaked for the ND meet while nobody else did?
Even with a 5th runner finishing well over 100th place I see Alabama as a top 5 team.
