How does this shoe compare with the vaporfly?
We have an "all school deal" with our local adidas distributor where we get 35% off on team sales. That's 77 bucks on a pair of Adizeros.

Adizero what? All Adidas race shoes are Adizero.
adizero what? Adios? Adios Pro?
The Adios Pro is comparable in performance to the Vaporfly. Similar foam and stiffness, albeit a bit heavier.
The Adios is closer to a traditional racing flat than the Adios Pro and probably does not offer any significant performance benefits.
I find the Adios Pro to be a bit stiffer than the Vaporfly 4% and Vaporfly NEXT%, and a bit slower. It's more akin to the Saucony Endorphin Pro in my opinion.
I haven't run in the pro but the adios and boston are firm, stiff, light and responsive. Good for advanced runners in 5k and 10k.

I think you might be looking at the Adizero Pro that is not the same as the Adizero Adios Pro (thanks Adidas for the confusing multipart naming). They are both carbon, the former with rods and the latter with a plate. I have the Adizero Pro and quite like them. They don’t improve economy as much as Nike’s Tempo Next% (the training companion of the super shoe) but feel much nicer and do improve economy some as well.
My understanding is that the Adizero Adios Pro is their super shoe equivalent of the Vaporfly, but haven’t run in either myself.
I have the Next%, Adizero Pro & Adios Pro 2.
Adizero Pro are really just a plated Adios of old (racing flat). Good shoe actually, they worked well for me. For speed training I prefer a low profile/traditional shoe, and it works really well for that.
Next% is great for racing over any distance, I've used it for 5k-marathon and it always returns quick times. In my opinion it's "squishier" than the Adios Pro 2, and probably more forgiving. Saying that, when you get in the groove with the Adios Pro 2, there's nothing better. It feels more taught, and personally I get superior energy return from it, almost po-go stick-like. I've only raced it over the marathon, but intend to use it for a 5k race I have next week. It feels great going fast :)
Not to mention, it's nice to be a bit different. Next% is everywhere, Adios Pro less so.
Good to know the comparison, thanks. I’ve been eyeing the Adios Pro 2 for some time, but am currently in self imposed shoe splurge austerity. :)

I know the feeling! I'm REALLY looking forward to the Adidas Takumi Sen 8. If it's just a lower stack Adios Pro, it's sure to be a hell of a shoe.
