Her Facebook post says she is taking time off and will not be running in the foreseeable future.
Also say's she is looking forward to being a fan.
I hope the time off brings peace and happiness on or off the roads.
At this point, the ONLY thing she can do is take time off. The only reason she doesn't would be due to her just having a "bad race", where something physically went wrong (bad stomach, etc..). If that's the case, take a short rest and hit the road circuit. Unfortunately, this doesn't seem to be the issue. She's tired and burned out physically and mentally...PERIOD!
Elite training and racing are brutal, and if too much time is spent over-analyzing and thinking about it you will never compete at your best. That's why a good coach and support system (club mates) are vital. Bouncing around from place to place and coach to coach will not help. It takes time to gain the trust of a new coach and become comfortable in a new training environment. Jordan was carrying too much baggage (pressure from sponsor, expectations of herself, and past injury issues) to have a clear mind to train and race worry-free.
I'm a big fan of Jordan and hope she finds what is best for her and her career. She's paid her dues and has represented the sport well.
