What is the generally accepted conversion of 800m to 1000m with 1600 included? My 800 rn in 2:09 and my 1600 4:52, which I feel are a bit lackluster due to not training enough. I've never raced the 1k before because I was too slow to race indoor my freshman year and COVID prevented us from having indoor the year after but we had outdoor. The qualifying time in our state is sub 2:38 and 3/4s of a second. I'm not sure how much faster I'll need to get in order to hit that but I do know it's a bit above my league right now. It's more of a reach goal. Where my times will put me at right now though? Also what's the smartest way to race it?
