I have a 10K coming up where the 1st half is mostly uphill and the 2nd half is mostly downhill.
My dilemma is that cheater shoes with their rigid carbon plate don't allow the ankle flex necessary to run uphill. Yes, they work well on downhill and the flat, but fail miserably on the uphill.
I have a Reebok flex shoe that is similar to this:
and think this would be better for a race like I have described. Again, cheater shoe (with the rigid full length plate) robs you of the ankle flexation necessary to "drive" uphill.
Thoughts?
