Um, not reaaly? Nike Aeroswift singlet is priced right between TS Van Cortlandt and Strata, unless they severely overcharge you in UK shop.
Tracksmith only has "premium" line and doesn't offer cheap 'entrylevel' stuff like major brands do so it may appear more expensive. But it's not 'luxury' like Satisfy or Soar. If you consider features, durability etc and happen to like their distinctive design, the pricing is more or less reasonable.
My favorite item is Run Cannonball Run shorts. They're heavy but so comfortable. You can wear those as casual wear (very casual, but still), as swimming shorts and you can definitely run in them. I'm 100% satisfied. Strata shorts are fine even though I have a hard time understanding how does the 'tech' in them help me in any way. On race day I say 'I did my best. i trained hard for this, I have great shoes, I even paid ridiculous hundred bucks for the best shorts out there'. That's probably the biggest help.
As for tops, pay attention to the sizing. If you have a chance try them on first. I'm rather bulky for a competitive runner and yet I wear S, and while the singlets are ok, I could definitely go down to XS with longsleeve.
