Fast finish log runs train your legs to run marathon pace when they’re most exhausted. The Bonk is, having legs unable to run marathon pace when they’re most exhausted. Simulate it in training, and learn to conquer it during training, with ff long runs.
Try doing a few of your long runs during you our training cycle in a carb/glycogen depleted state. Get your body accustomed to still put out effort even after glycogen runs low or out, by switching over to fat burning mode
