Not that Flag, Park City or Boulder are cheap.

Because it is in California.
It's also basically in the middle of nowhere. Flagstaff, Park City, and Boulder are either very close to or are larger cities with a variety of amenities/conveniences.
Big Bear is a short trip down the mountain to more civilization..I think. Haven’t been in awhile but on the map it doesn’t took too bad. Aside from Brenda Martinez, I’m surprised more also don’t got that route as well.

Big Bear is like 5 hours away. There isn't crap near Mammoth Lakes.
5 hours away from what? I can get to Big Bear in about 35 minutes.
I still love Mammoth and will continue to take teams there every year. If you haven't been then you are missing something special.

Yes bros it may be that with social media these days and a pandemic going on that places with high speed Internet availability for video calls etc that are not in the middle of nowhere are much more appealing places to live and train.

Mammoth Resort is owned by one family who developed the mountain into a ski resort.
