Props to Kitata for hanging in there, he’s running about 2:05 pace. Any chance he’s there the whole way?

Women speeding up at 20K, fastest 5K split yet but they haven't dropped anyone in the 12-woman group and all E africans in it. The 2:17 pacers are still far ahead, not sure why they haven't dropped back at this point though I guess because there's a decent pack they aren't being used anyways

Men lead pack of 7 thru 15K, staying pretty consistent at 2:03:2x pace, Kitata still admirably hanging in no-man's land:

While they show wheelchair 3rd place women came through 25K, Kosgei taking charge of the lead pack, Alemu MEGERTU becomes the first African to fall fully off the lead pack a minute back, Birhane Dibaba in 11th 5 seconds back.

Atrocious coverage and commentating on BBC.
Also the online leaderboard doesn't show any mile splits (let alone KM splits like in Berlin) nor do they even show split times for 5K, just elapsed. So I wrote this script earlier during the race grabbing that from the api which I've been using to post updates in this thread

All I've been seeing is wheelchair, wheelchair.
Looks like the 15K-20K split is fast, men had their fastest split there too as Kitata falls further back, not looking good for him at all.

There is an elite only feed which I think is the international feed. Is that any better? WHich one are you watching?
Women's elite looks like it could come down to a nice race, maybe even a sprint finish. Love to see Kitata finish even though it looks like he's hurting. The men's elite looks like it could also come down to a sprint finish too, but still early.
Elite only is the international feed, pretty much lead groups only. Main coverage more UK focused. I'm flipping between the two.
What happened? Last year, they had mile by mile splits on their trackingpage.
Women hit 30K, a lot have dropped now as it's beginning to become a real race with 5 left. Salpeter has looked good leading much of the race Dereje, Girma, Yimer, etc all dropped
