I haven't been forced to wear a mask outdoors in a very long time. Recently had to do it on an airplane, but I didn't think it was a stepping stone to fascism but more realistically a safety precaution for an unprecedented pandemic. If you think private companies cracking down on people spreading fear-mongering misinformation, conspiracies and lies is a stepping stone to fascism will have to disagree on that one as well.
Except its not about masks, its about NYC forcing patrons to prove their vaxx status. Furthermore, its not right wingers, its BLM in NYC saying they are gonna stage more protests and riots bc the mandates are racist.
You should re-evaluate your misinformation campaign thank you.

If I'm in a hospital, the last thing that I want is an unvaccinated nurse, doctor or tech getting near me.
Really?
I would be far more concerned about someone coughing and sneezing, vaccination status unknown.

I don't get people whining about wearing a mask. It's pretty unobtrusive, certainly less of a burden than, say, seat belts, or having to wear a shirt and shoes to go in a store.
And nobody has ever been banned from Twitter for stating their opinion.

It was about masks.
This is what I was responding to ( I quoted it, but you still seem to have lost the plot):
"Talk to me about Being forced to wear masks outside. Freedoms slip away one by one."
Maybe you responded to the wrong post by accident, because your post has nothing to do with what I posted or the post I was responding to. Good job.
You got that wrong. Right wingers are fighting to keep the historic freedoms upon which the country was founded. If you don’t like that type of system go somewhere else. Don’t change what our country has always been. They hate freedom in North Korea. Move there if that’s what you like.

Me too. And if you were in the hospital, you would never know if the nurse, doctor or tech who just sneezed is vaccinated. It's not like you'd be given a choice as to who comes to take care of you. The vaccine requirement that went into effect in NY yesterday solves that problem.

There is not doubt that you have been conditioned to be compliant and servile. Your government overlords couldn’t be happier with your attitude.

So you are not concerned about a vaccinated person who is sneezing and coughing treating you but are worried about a non vaccinated person with no symptoms treating you?
I would have to say you have been brainwashed.

Yes, both right-wingers and **some** read some BLM people are making a stink. I would disagree with either of them. There is nothing racist about a Vaxx mandate. Also, NYPD is not going to throw people off subways/trains for not having a vax passport, that was a non-sensical theory thrown out there.

You have no clue about what this country has always been. People have been forced to get vaccinated for decades, in WW2 you had to turn your lights out at night, and in the 1970s gas was rationed. People were drafted into the military. The government says I can't drive more than 55 mph, and that I have to wear a seat belt. Freedom sounds great on a bumper sticker, but you might want to pay attention to how it plays out in real life.
By the way, I'm not the one whining about this country. It's fine with me. The guy who was b*tching because he can't post bullsh*t on Twitter might be happier elsewhere, though.

Umm what? Please explain why?
Guessing you have the vaccine right?, so why are you concerned someone without it caring for you?
Are you saying that being vaccinated gives you hardly any protection from the illness, but stops you spreading it? That’s like pretty much the complete opposite of what it does. This is what is causing all this nonsense, it’s muppets like this, dumb Karen’s making mandates without understanding a damn thing. Worlds gone mad.

It's comical how you missed the point by so much. It has to have been intentional on your part.
I'll try to dumb it down for you. I'm not crazy about anyone who is treating me in a hospital sneezing or coughing in my immediate vicinity. However, if it has to happen, I'd rather it be someone who is vaccinated than someone who is not vaccinated. And, regardless of whether someone sneezes or coughs, I would not want to be treated in a hospital by someone who is not vaccinated. The vaccine requirement in NY addresses that problem.

But this is about freedom and who gets to make that decision, which is 100x more important than the vaccine.
You have the freedom to get a different job where statistically you are not putting vulnerable people at 10x the risk.
At this point I actually do just want to hurt people, you are right. You made me this way.

You would rather be treated by someone sneezing and coughing if they vaxxed than by an unvaxxed person with no symptoms.
Jeez, the that person is sneezing and coughing but hey, he or she is vaxxed. But that guy over there seemingly healthy is not vaxxed so I will go with the sick vaxxed person.
Seems crazy to me.
As crazy as comparing speed limits and seatbelts with injecting this crap into your system
You are absolutely on the side of the people rioting and protesting and complaining and wanting to change what has been.
People who are anti-mask/anti-vax are full of it when they talk about "freedoms". They know that they have no freedom. They have no choice but to go to work every day and be part of an economic system that showers with embarrassing riches a small percentage of the population who have the meritocracy pedigrees of top university degrees and big law, finance, corporate jobs. They can work a million hours a week and will still struggle to pay their bills. Their small business will always get crushed by whatever venture capital backed competitor that comes along. Their kids are buried in college debt and are working as a driver for door dash while doing shifts at a coffee house. They are totally powerless against an economic system that should have rewarded them generously but has instead made their lives miserable.
So, instead of actually organizing to fight against the big monied interests that actually cause them harm, they fight against public health measures because that is the one thing they can fight against. No one can make them wear a mask or get the vax, while they are powerless to fight against the forces in society that actually harm them. That is their "freedom".
I cannot understand - other than willful attempts to steer threads - how anyone can still be using the argument that the unvaccinated spread covid when CDC research, the case studies of countries with very high vaccination rates and statements of their professionals all demonstrate that the vaccinated spread covid just as much as the unvaccinated. There is no difference. If you would not want an unvaccinated person treating you in hospital, you should be equally concerned about a vaccinated person treating you who is not wearing a mask.
People losing their jobs is persecution in an attempt to coerce people into taking the 'vaccine', where there exists many reasons why someone would choose not to do so.

Congrats, now you won't have any nurse, doctor, or tech because they'll be understaffed.
