I wonder who will be the 7th runner for the Newbury Park boys. I only see 6 NP boys runners listed.

Either another new transfer or there is a Young or Sahlman sibling we haven’t seen.

The top 6 runners are well clear of the rest of the team. However, the 7th spot seems to be up for grabs, with multiple 14:5x and 15 flat 3 milers ready to take the position. It's going to be a hard choice for Brosnan to make, a few very good runners won't be on the line at Nationals.

Funny enough, the Youngs have a cousin that seems to be pretty talented. She ran 18:18 (5k) as an 8th grade girl to win her AAU regional this year.
Is running lane giving out bags for packet pick up?

Too bad they don't have anyone listed. Nice try though
Bags for everyone in the Gold Division.
Beanies & Gloves for everyone.

Someone should post a list to decode the club names into the high schools they represent.
HS names have been added next to the club names on the performance list.
386 guys under 16:00
287 girls under 19:00
Will this be the greatest HS race of all time?

Girls' team competition is meaningless without Saratoga.

Meaningless? I don't think so.
In fact, this could be the beginning of the end for Nike Nationals. We'll see I guess next year.

Or maybe Saratoga’s National ranking is meaningless without RunningLane?

Realistically, if Nike decides to go back to offering a national championship NXN event as in years past, Running Lane will quickly become the JV national championship. (And Eastbay will be the "My team sucks, but I'm pretty good and I don't want to get lost in a huge race" championship.) There's undoubtedly a demand for something like that, but the ball is in Nike's court. In fact, it owns both the ball and the court.

I hate to even think about next year already when we haven't run the race for this year but a factor would be what time of year they have RunningLane next year. If they move back to their early date it will be good for some but impossible for others. So for many teams they could actually do both. I'm in CA so no RunningLane for me on the early date because it's before State.
Hard to know. NXN will be 3 years old next year meaning that nearly no national caliber kids will have ever competed in it. Runninglane will have have all of the national class teams this year and thousands of kids will also watch the meet. I went last year but don't plan to go this year. But if I was taking a team this year, I would feel a sense of appreciation and almost obligation next year even if NXN reappears. This will be the most competitive high school cross country meet of all time because there is no qualification. Some of the NXR regions are so strong that national caliber kids and teams get eliminated in the regionals that are better than qualifying teams and individuals from weak regions. They can all show up at Runninglane this year.
The field is set:

Who do you think takes it in the girls race?
I think the Cheyenne on the guys side will dominate the race for second. We all know NBP is inevitable.
NIWOT
Do you think Cherry Creek will be able to come out on top if their #1 takes the win in a large field though? That should displace a lot more points than at something like the CO state meet.
Here's the link to their live results. This is going to be huuuuuuuuuuuge
I predict 14:10 for the win with 75 guys breaking 15.
I predict 16:20 for the girls with 75 girls breaking 17:30.
You make a solid point, but i think it won't actually be a big deal because so many of the top runners are unattached.
