5k 19:00
10k : 39:30
HM 1:27:00
And then adequate mileage for full marathon.

I would think a little faster would be better. 1:25/26 ish for the Half.

This is very interesting, I always considered a sub 3 hour marathon to be a mark of excellence in distance running, or something akin to a sub 15 5k. According to this I might have a shot to make this mark someday...
I agree. That seems more reasonable.
5km 17 minutes
10km 37 minutes
Half-marathon 1:20
But that was just me
18/38/85 should be about right.

Really depends on what type of runner you are. Size, etc.
Generally I’d suggest someone be sub 1:25 to try for <3:00. But again, it depends on their capabilities, size, etc.

A sub 15 5k is equivalent to something like a sub 2:30 marathon, depending on the runner.

This seems right. I originally wanted to shoot for 3:05 or better but I revised my goal downward because I have no talent to 3:15 or better. I ran 55-60 mpw this training block since April-ish or so and have about 1600 miles. I am realizing I'll have to run 75-80 mpw including doubles to get me to 3:00 or better.
It depends on your talent--some can run sub-3:00 on 40-45 mpw and others will need 80-90 mpw and doubles. I did do a 22-mile training run the other day and came through the half in 1:35-ish, so that would put me at 3:12-3:13-ish. Still a long way to go...
I don't think your 5k is really relevant since a lot of 5k running is about speed. I know people who have run mid-16s for 5k and struggled to 3:10 in the marathon.
I'd focus on that HM time. Purely from observation of people at my club, everyone who has broken 1:23 has run sub-3 for the mara.

Would go with this if your mileage is alright
On lower mileage you will prob need closer to an 83ish odd half to carry you through
He has to be trolling.
training volume while healthy is probably more important than your 5K time. i ran 2:58 off of a peak week of 63 which was my only week over 60. most weeks were upper 40s or low 50s, and i was nursing some achilles issues that whole time. i did run a 17:30 about 3 weeks before the marathon. i know at least one guy who i finished ahead of in that 5K ran about 2:55 by virtue of his higher training volume. i'll bet i could have run 1:22 or so leading up to that marathon but that just fits with the theme of my performances getting worse as the distance increases. again, lack of volume lol.
Can't comment any further on equivalents over and above current suggestions, but all the best for BCM.
I haven't ran it since they changed the route, and cut out the Antrim Road hill!!
I agree with 18/38/1:25 if you are adequately prepared with mileage and quality work.
For reference I was 37 /1:23/2:54, off 70 miles per week. But a year earlier I went for a sub 3 with a 38 10K, and really faded the last 10 K to a 3:06. But I was only averagin 55 miles per week at that time.
According to Daniel's equivalency charts, to run a 2:59:59 marathon under ideal race conditions, you'd be looking for race equivalency times of:
5k: 18:49
10k: 39:00
Half: 1:26:21
According to the Humphrey's chart, you'd be looking for:
5k: 18:46
10k: 39:08
Half: 1:26:20
To me it depends on your aerobic base. I ran 2:55 off of 80mpw, mostly easy miles (10% or so under 6:45 pace), and my half PR at the time was 1:27 high.
I'm shooting for sub 3:00 on 40mpw. First time marathon.
Recent time:
1:24:00 half
I'm not sure if i'll have the strength to hang on, but i'm going to give it a go.
5k @ 6:00 pace (sub-19), 10k sub-39, half in 1:25-1:26.
When I was a lot newer to running, I ran a 1:26-mid half & then a 3:03-flat 3 weeks later. Paced both races poorly & probably had 1:25/2:59 in me. Shortly after that, I ran 1:20 & 2:54. The 1:20 was an A++ race at the time. Paced the marathon horribly & could have run high-2:40s.
I think 1:25ish is about right to have a little cushion. Doable with a 1:26-27 & good pacing/training/endurance.
RIP: D3 All-American Frank Csorba - who ran 13:56 in March - dead
RENATO can you talk about the preparation of Emile Cairess 2:06
Running for Bowerman Track Club used to be cool now its embarrassing
Hats off to my dad. He just ran a 1:42 Half Marathon and turns 75 in 2 months!
Great interview with Steve Cram - says Jakob has no chance of WRs this year
Rest in Peace Adrian Lehmann - 2:11 Swiss marathoner. Dies of heart attack.
