Not at all. I see no point in sharing any of my data with anyone. My watch shows me much prettier analytics with a better UI on my phone.

No. I chose not to use Strava.
I've been on Strava since around 2011 but only for cycling. I have around 30000 miles logged.
I like that all my historical data is stored in one spot. Strava falls embarrassing low in terms of analytics that could be done with their data. I've exported my raw data into tableau and made some neat charts and fogures.
Maybe some day they'll do actual development instead of taking the path of least resistance (social Media features/photos)
No, I either look at the clock on the stove when I leave and return and compare to other times on known routes I've run, or run something called Fitotrack on my Android phone, which records stuff for me, and doesn't share anything with anybody.
I don't stare at myself in the mirror while snapping photos of myself either. Odd, I know.

😂
Almost feel bad that the OP was expecting a high five but every single response on this thread can’t care less about Strava.
I use it but I've uploaded runs at like 8:45 pace on grass before, so I don't really care about my strava "reputation"
I think it's a good tool. It can be really helpful for locating good routes and trail to run, etc. when traveling.
Absolutely not.. I don't understand how people seriously do the paid version either. It's just another crappy form of social media for you trying to get likes and kudos. If you own a watch, chances are the actual app for your device displays all the exact same metrics. Strava is redundant and only for people to feel good with themselves when reality nobody should care.

Agree with the sentiment, but before I got a good running watch, I’d run with my bulky phone with Strava as my run recording app, so even though I never used its social media features, it was useful back then for me to just record and analyze my runs. Not any more though.
I'm addicted a bit, but I follow 0 people, don't give anyone kudos, and I use my initials as a username.
I don't have watch and use Strava for save track records. But mostly use it instead Instagram for watching photos from activityes
The KOM leaderboards are great. It is also cool that it keeps track of your Para.

I think Strava is great. I feel bad that you think you don't have any runners you care about or care about you. You can see what your peers are doings, and you know if they are following you on Strava they probably care. I have friends on Strava that will screenshot their runs then post on facebook; That I don't get.

The native Garmin app isn't great at analytics either. You can't even fix the day of the week; its to a running 7 days. I think Garmin could have cornered the market like Apple if they had pushed out the social media aspects more. Apple watch GPS would be powered by Garmin or something like that.
leaderboard is useless for runners, nobody wants to travel to another part of the city just for set record at running segment, also there a lot of cyclists who forget change type for activity
You sound like someone that can't even make it in the top 10. It's not hard to flag cyclists.
I downloaded it and used it for a bit but balked at the subscription to get the same data that my apple watch gives me for free. I know that makes me sound like a cheapskate and I guess I am but $60 a year when I have a better app already. If it was $30 I would probably bite. Anybody with a discount code? LOL!
I spend a bit more time on it than I should when I’m bored, but I’m not overly worried about what me or other people post. It’s just cool to see how different people with different abilities train.
