Everyone already knew the average was misleading, because it's the stupidest possible way of figuring out how old people are. You can't translate that thought to a similar problem with the average McDonald's profits?
You are f*cking braindead.

Apparently you didn't know it was misleading as you continually claim that the workers are all older than they actually are... 60% are 24 and under children living with their parent(s). And YES a 24 year old is a child in 2021 no matter what the biological or legal definition of adult is.
Profit margins and the age of employees are hardly comparable moron.

If you guys are going to toss out unsupported claims, at least make them somewhat in line with reality so that they are at least marginally believable.

A University of Chicago study showed that 42 percent of those receiving jobless benefits were making more that way than at their previous employment. Throw in the people who are afraid to go into the COVID world and people who can't find child care trust or are dealing with home schooling because the schools are closed and that hyperbolic 99.9999% is a lot closer to reality than you think.

That is nowhere remotely close to 99.9999%. You're embarrassing yourself. Why not actually try to make believable claims?

It's obviously hyperbole... MOST is the point and the data clearly points to MOST which completely destroys the argument that it's just an evolving workforce and market argument that some of the angrier more emotional posters have been making.

Facts and Logic Man uses hyperbole and then gets scared of its big shadow.
Like I said, braindead.
You realize the hypocrisy of calling others "angry and emotional" when you resort to such outlandish statistical claims that they go beyond even hyperbole? I'm guessing you don't. You also defended the ridiculously false claim about how most small businesses have either bellied up or are being funded by lavish PPP loans.
You are everything that you are criticizing.
I wish I knew you in real life, dude. I bet you are such a whiny little girl.
ONLY sad, weak little men like you do the "you're emotional I am logical. I know stats and you don't" routine and biff it horribly.
You don't own a business. You're not rich. McDonald's will be ok without your help. You were taught by youtube to hate poor people with a narrative that their jobs are super easy and they are all stupid and make bad decisions. It makes you feel better about your own life. That's why you get bothered by someone making $18/hr and I don't. How DARE they make ok money! If they aren't losers, than no one is "below" you. Try to make an economic argument all you want, but it just doesn't hold up at all.

hyperbole is exaggerated statements or claims not meant to be taken literally.
Do you have any idea how stupid you have to be to argue that hyperbole is "outlandish".... Jesus Christ...
If someone said "everyone and their mother was at Publix today" would you complain that the claim was "outlandish" or comprehend that the statement just means the store was really crowded?
I didn't make or defend the claim that "most" small businesses went belly up or are being propped up by PPP... You are having trouble keeping your arguments straight.
I claimed that capitalism is the greatest economist system the world has ever seen.
I claimed that entry level jobs are not meant to jobs that require a "living wage" particularly when the MAJORITY of those workers are under 25 and more often than not still living with their parents.
None of those claims are "outlandish" even with the hyperbole thrown in.

You don't know anything about me beyond that I disagree with you the minimum wage. It's pretty idiotic to make judgements on physical characteristics over the internet based on economic opinions...
You're projecting A LOT. Your life will still suck even if McDonald's raises your pay. Just because your life is going no where and you live in shame and regret doesn't mean everyone else does too... lol...
Because I'm not an imbecile I know what happens when you raise the minimum wage above what the market demands. They tried it in Seattle and businesses just got rid of enough employees to maintain the status quo.
The $18 wage here has nothing to do with the free market. Give it 6 months or so and the stimulus and unemployment cash will run out and the labor market will grow and those wages will go right back down to where they were pre-covid.
I know everything about you, that's why you don't deny anything. You don't know what projection means. Nobody was talking about the minimum wage AND you are wrong about what happens when it goes up.
You want to be about hard numbers. But all your numbers were wrong (high schoolers) (% of unemployment) or irrelevant (average mcd's profits). You don't have the relevant numbers to know anything about this particular mcd's, so you're just making an emotional argument for why they shouldn't get 18/hr instead of one based on facts. Every accusation you make is just a confession.
You're dumb and you're wrong. We all know it. You know it. You can deflect and try to change the subject, but you'll still be dumb and still be wrong.

Tell me more about how the current labor shortage is 99.999% due to COVID and unemployment checks being more profitable than going to work, and how that kind of statement is no different than "everyone and their mom was at Publix today".
You're embarrassing yourself.

You being too stupid to comprehend hyperbole is only embarrassing for you... This isn't an academic debate sweetie I'm not here top educate you I'm here to tell you you're an idiot. The people who actually care will do their own research and figure out who's right. Hint: It ain't the "capitalism is evil" crowd.
i never said that capitalism is evil. I merely pointed out idiotic claims, one you made and one you supported. Not a good recurring pattern for you.
You don't know anything about anything you idiot... I don't deny your claims because, not being an imbecile, I understand that you wouldn't believe me anyway. I'm happy and confident in my own life and don't feel the need to to try to convince some hobby jogger moron that my life is better than his. Your rage about the minimum wage says EVERYTHING. People who have money and are happy with their lives don't rage about how unfair wages are.
You're miserable. I think it's hilarious.
My claims were intentionally hyperbolic. The factual numbers STILL support my argument not yours.
Your argument is that everyone could make $18 an hour and the only reason they don't is because the people paying the wages are cheap. This is completely ridiculous. EVERYWHERE the minimum wage is raised jobs are cut. For every person you help by giving $18 an hour the companies will eliminate a job. Robots and kiosks aren't being rolled out just for fun. You have absolutely no idea how the real world works.
Your life sucks because you have no skills. Whining isn't the answer little fella. Go back to school and learn something useful.

You ascribe every argument on one side to me and then balk when I mention an argument the people you're defending made... Remember what I said about liberals and self awareness? LOL!
