5x2000 with 2 minutes rest at planned race pace.
"Surge running". Gunder Hägg used them in the 1940s and so have I with good results. 6km loop mostly flat but with 5-6 short, steep uphills. Base pace is LT. On every hill you increase the pace until you reach the top of the hill. Then you slow down to LT pace. Last 2 minutes on the flat at race pace.
