After I had a bad track season I set my eyes on xc and set goals for myself. I trained the whole summer and by the time my first race had come I had huge expectations for myself only to barely go under 21 mins for the 5k even though my goal that day was low 19s, I shook it off because it was my first race in a long. Next race I ran a bit faster (20:24)but not anywhere near my goal time which was low 19s again. 2 more races went on and I keep running mid 20 min 5ks, its getting really frustrating because I feel like I wasted my summer. I really believe I can run much faster than this and I want to know if theres any way I can go sub 18 by early October to help my team go to regionals.
