Lock downs have ruined the economy, set back the education of millions of Americans, and created a generation of slovenly Americans dependent on government dole.
There is minimal evidence that government programs have discouraged participation in the labor market during the pandemic. Preventing people from going homeless is good, actually.
And well, employers could always pay more? Wages are too sticky anyway.
650k dead Americans and the economy is doing just fine. You should examine your priorities.
Seriously? Many people have been earning more money collecting unemployment and that extra COVID money then they would make working AND many people have been able to live rent free with eviction moratoriums. In the mean time, landlords have gone bankrupt because they have no rent coming in. Businesses can’t find people willing to work, some businesses have had to close because they can’t find employees. There are help wanted signs everywhere. To say employers need to pay more just shows how little you understand about the economics of running a business, especially a small business.
Significantly more people have been harmed financially then have died. But I guess you think it’s no big deal that businesses were ruined due to the lock downs and forced business closures and restrictions, and now not being able to find employees, or people who lost their jobs or had their wages cut. Maybe you should re-examine your priorities.
