In the Sweat Elite video w/Gwen Jorgenson she mentions Centro "quitting" to her friend.
Assuming he did leave BTC, what will he do in 2022? Back to his father?

Quitting BTC, or running in general perhaps?
idk
A good move would be back with family and training with Empire Elite, but I think he's dating his strength coach's daughter (ugh) so maybe he wants to stay in the PNW.
Would be a terrible move to leave BTC and stay in Portland.

How is that a good move? Go from one of the best US programs to a program we have never heard of?

He needs to be in Boulder with Ritz

Oh boy….. Let’s hope this girlfriend makes better takeout dining choices than the last one :(

Maybe he's had enough of BTC being druggie central.

Druggie Central?! How many BTC athletes have been banned for drugs?
If anything, I think an interesting fact is that Centro was with Shelby during the window that she would have had to taken the drug (it leaves the system in 10 hours and she was tested at 6am).

he's in the twilight of his career dude. He visits family in NYC often and Nohilly is a family friend so it might work.

When they are still happily advertising her as one of their pro athletes on their website then they clearly condone a convicted drug cheat so yes you can presume others are the same.
👏 good one!

That timeline is not true.
Bit of a fact check: at the 8:36 mark of the video, it is Lauren who asks, "What about Centro? Did he quit?" Gwen answers with "I have no idea." and then a weird laugh.
So, this seems like a real reach to rumor he is quitting, but sure. Gwen answering with "I have no idea" feels right since I doubt she was ever much in the know of BTC happenings, which seemed to be her choice.
Maybe he'll stay out there and train with Hocker!
He might as well quit.
Isn't Nike replacing him with Cole Hocker? 🤔

He could certainly do so with his head held high. I saw something similar to the following stats the other day, and it kind of hit home as to how good he has been.
1:44, 3:30, and 13:00 +
Ncaa champ
Usatf champ (x 5? Outdoor, x2 indoor)
World champ (gold indoor/ silver, bronze outdoor)
Olympic champ (1st, 4th, 3 Olympic teams)
I guess I don’t understand why people here are always so quick to denigrate him. This dude has been really good on every level for a really long time. Time catches up with everyone. As a track fan, his personality is certainly much than some milque toast guy that is boring.
I'll make a bold prediction. I don't think they were discussing him quitting running or leaving BTC but quitting drug use (presumably after Shelby's positive test). This is complete speculation but with the way the question is posed to Gwen, this context would make more sense. I am sure Gwen knows more about the on-goings of the team (ie Shelby's drug use) than she is letting on. She just got caught spilling some secrets about the team on video.

+1
Has more running accomplishments than this entire board has, in aggregate.

Give me a break, it's obvious this group will come crashing down in a screaming heap of injuries.
