LRC note. We've changed the title to reflect it's 1970 and not 1972. Thanks.

Buy it, create an NFT based off or it, then publicly destroy the physical bib. You'll own the first running related digital memorabilia.

Less than Rupp. Why aren’t they buying Rupp’s bingo instead?

How do they even have 5 grand to throw around like this? And why aren’t the investing it into the website?
They are grown adults running a website. Why would having 5 grand be a surprise? Haha

Agreed. There isn’t even an edit function on this message board.
The problem is, they are the only game in town. As soon as a young and enterprising track nerd puts in the effort as competition, things will change.

The thing is I think the main attraction to this message board is the ability to anonymously troll, so if the new message board doesn’t have that I don’t know that they could compete

And by “running a website,” 90% of that time and energy is then acting as message board administrators.
The Brojos are message board administrators

My God. Why would malmo delete that? I'm getting close to saying, "You had a great ride as the #1 moderator but doesn't everyone need to enjoy retirement at some point."

All of us, every single one of us, have been waiting for you to tell him this for YEARS.
How he is possibly your #1 moderator? Speaks volumes about your website

I was thinking about starting a separate thread on something related to this concept.
What would happen if someone made a shirt that said don't drink and drive and had a picture of Pre's rock on it. Would it be viewed as over the top or would be likely it as it gets your attention for an important message.

What does that have to do with donating money to MADD?

My thought was why would a digital business like let's run want a physical memorabilia item. Where would they display it, taped to the top of their computer that only they would see?
However, not being tech savvy, couldn't someone duplicate anything shared digitally? This is meant to be rhetorical, not a serious inquiry.
And you know, the shirt should say "your move", unless you meant it to read "you are move", right?

No, that is how it's supposed to be. An insider letsrun joke.
For 5K, I wouldn't. There is nothing clearly identifying it as Prefontaine memorabilia.
As it goes with jokes and providence, if you have to explain it...

Yes, buy it and then donate it to UO or Nike for their Prefontaine exhibit. Demand having the URL listed on the donor tag.
