I start 4 weeks ago building my base mileage up to race indoor 3k & 5k in Jan, Feb, Mar of 2022, have a few questions about the base phase. Currently at 60MPW. First 4 weeks 55-50-55-60
Start Mileage build on 8/16 how long would you go into building miles? Till 1st of the year?
When should I hit peak mileage?
Anything in-particular that I should do closer to the end of this base phase? Tempos, thresholds, progressions, threshold repeats of 400s or 5-6 x 3min?
Trying to find a way to build my own 3k plan, not having a ton of luck. Though about using Daniels, seen the High Performance West workouts but it doesn’t really explain how to build the phases correctly
