Hello ! Ive been running for 7 months dealing with shin splints and 2 months ago I finally got a stress fracture. it healed and now I will gradually start running again.i was a freshman and was trying to get fast. I got to a 4:40 mile maybe lower but it's been 2 months. Our workouts were very very hard always race effort and leave nothing on the track. I always endured the pains and I think I my progress was good. I'm asking right now if there's any "unorthodox" method to get fast. Btw I did stretching + foam rolling every day for 1h, core exercises every other day and strength training. I didn't eat sugar for 2 mk this straight and then I just avoided it.
