If you are a sedentary 19 year old, can you jump straight into running 5 days per week?
If you are a sedentary 19 year old, can you jump straight into running 5 days per week?
Sure
10-15 minutes of running pretty hard, 5 days a week. Knock it out and get on with your day. That is perfectly fine.
I want a serious answer
yet another david45 thread. It's not like you listen to anything anybody says to you anyway, why bother asking?
ok I get it. David45 again. My bad
Because the other guys said I can immediately jump into running for 5 days per week, yet that is how I got injured when I tried to join XC
So if somebody tells you that you can run 5 days a week are you going to do the same thing again and run beyond your physical capabilities david45?
Well, you are the one who said I am bad for not following advice

Not enough details to help. Please elaborate. Can you describe the whole history in detail?
This is rocket scientist level stuff here, but whenever I’m running and something doesn’t feel right, I take a day off and stretch/roll.

Probably not. You can try but you most likely will run into injuries quick.

Are we not all a little bit of a rocket scientist?
Come on, david45. Same old thing from you.
Look, if you want to run, start with a 1 mile slow jog every other day. After a month, replace the off days with running drills. This is a good transition from being sedentary to laying the foundation for being active.
But this is just another david45 troll attempt, right?

I think all of these trolls are LR personas created to drive traffic.

If you are 19, yes, no problem. You'll be sore for the first few weeks, that's all.
If you were 39, the answer would be much more qualified.
This thread is useless without concrete runner.

You do understand that some people will be right and some people will be wrong in their advice, don't you? It isn't a good idea to do the same thing again if it's how you got injured the first time around, that's really evident.
You were given some really good advice a while ago about hiking and building up strength. The general consensus was it would be wise to follow that.

It depends. Are we talkin running 15 minutes a day or like 60-90 minutes. Volume and intensity are important factors.
