I am super nervous for the race, and I don't feel like my stomach is currently 100%... I'm new to college and it's been hard not getting as much sleep as I would like and not being able to eat the way I do at home. I am freaking out for how to fuel for this 5k race at 7 pm. Every day towards the end of the day, my stomach is not usually doing amazing (hunger pangs ignored too long, gassy, somewhat constipated.).
There's limited options in the dining hall sadly. I have 1-2 salads a day alongside either a pasta dish, burger, pizza, or vegetarian dish (which is all they have). They also run out of fruit fast. For breakfast I'm just going to have cereal and a banana. For lunch, I feel like pasta doesn't fully agree with me and a small burger and salad would be better, but I'm not sure. And there's no way in hell I'm eating pepperoni pizza even 7 hours before. Should I eat a protein bar sometime at 3 or 4? will I be OK before the race?
What brings me comfort is that I recently ran most of a hard workout with diarrhea and it went really well, so maybe I can run past that.....?
I just don't know what my stomach will do: On runs I've had awful side stitches, gassiness, diarrhea, stomach cramps from exertion, and so on. This is starting to make me worry insanely. HELP!!!!
